Culture vultures, this one’s for you. The Snite Museum of Art has debuted two new exhibitions this semester, and tonight, Friday, January 26, they’re celebrating the openings with a public reception featuring refreshments, live entertainment and a gallery talk from the museum’s Curator of Photographs, David Acton.

The first of the new shows, on display through March 18, is Modern Women’s Prints. The show features more than 30 works drawn from the museum’s permanent collection and explores the rich history of women in printmaking. Lee Krasner, Emmi Whitehorse and Grace Hartigan are among the featured artists.

Next door is Money Worries, an exhibition in several genres designed to make visitors think twice about money, wealth and poverty. Works included range from ancient and modern currency from around the world to paintings and screenprints that contemplate concepts such as opulence and greed. Money Worries runs through March 25.
