Photo of the Week: The Children of Cité Soleil

Author: Notre Dame Magazine

Gerard Thomas Straub, former Hollywood producer, itinerant seeker, author, filmmaker and follower of St. Francis, built a refuge in Haiti for the orphaned and unwanted children of Cité Soleil, a notorious Port-au-Prince slum. Novelist Joseph Lewis Heil ’59 tells Straub’s story in our spring issue, in the mail now and online Monday at magazine.nd.edu.

Photo of the Week highlights images from campus and from the Notre Dame family around the world. Have a snapshot you think we should see? Email jkelly30@nd.edu to be considered for publication.
