90 My Mailbox Overflows, Part 2
Mike Wallace lives in his hometown of Fort Lauderdale FL with his wife from the U of Minnesota. Mike is the executive VP and CFO of Intermedix, a global healthcare services company. His two girls are in college at Penn State and in Georgia. Janice ’91SMC and Chris Hurley are in Cincinnati OH with three kids: Michael, a junior at Bishop Fenwick; CJ, a frosh also at Fenwick; and Katie, a sixth grader at the local public school. All are very active in sports and other clubs. Chris is starting his sixth year with Campbell Soup as director of sales, while Janice enjoys volunteering with animals at the local vet. Chris and Janice took a belated 20th anniversary trip to Italy and made it back to ND for one game last year to see the Irish beat the otherwise undefeated MSU Spartans. Chris was able to catch up with old friends like John McArdle, Rick Noble and DJ Romano. Most importantly, Chris is very grateful for a healthy and happy year for the family. 2013 brought many changes for Pat Henahan. Pat left AstraZeneca and a job in Puerto Rico to join Hospira as the finance head for the US business near Chicago. She’s been trying to make the most of being near a great American city, seeing lots of great concerts, visiting museums, eating deep dish. Pat was also lucky to connect with Margaret Branick when she came to Chicago on business. Sean Reilly married Susan Paul last November. Sean’s son Garrett was the best man and daughter Ashley and Susan’s daughter Allyson were in the wedding party. Best friend Eric Schiela attended with his wife Kim. Sean and Susan live in Jenkintown PA. Doug Pritchett is now a partner at his Houston law firm, where he is in charge of the appellate practice section, a section of one. Doug saw Tom Sessi ’91 when he hosted a wine tasting event with the ND Club of Houston. Tom has his own winery and seems to be doing well. Kristen (Lewis) Hanzel is an internal medicine doctor at Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. She enjoyed watching the Irish play Oklahoma this fall with Anne Kenney, Anne Lindner and Sinead Rigney ’89. She and husband Matt Hanzel ’89 have two kids, ages 15 and 11, and spend a lot of very enjoyable time watching them play hockey, baseball and soccer. Anne Kenney enjoys living in NYC, where she’s just a stone’s throw from her big family at the beach in New Jersey. She heads global operations for one of WPP’s healthcare accounts and appreciates the great people, travel and opportunities she encounters along the way. Anne Lindner continues to live in the Annapolis MD area with sons Jack and Andrew. She works for Exelon Corp., focusing on energy policy in the Mid-Atlantic region. Killeen Mullen has moved from the NFL in Tampa to the NBA in New York City where she is working in events, focusing on international games, NBA All-Star and NBA Summer League. When she has a break from her work travels, Killeen spends as much time as possible at the shore. Alchristian Villaruz is an ER physician for the U of Maryland Emergency Medicine Network on the eastern shore of Maryland. He worked in Sydney, Australia as an ER doc from 2008 to 2012 but is glad to be home. John Farley was the prosecutor in a case that received a fair amount of national and international press attention. The defendant was a health care worker in New Hampshire who stole drugs in a way that infected dozens of people with Hepatitis C. It was a very emotional and tragic case. The defendant was sentenced to 39 years in prison. Richard Westenberger was appointed to the Accounting Advisory Board within the Mendoza College of Business. Charlie Maher ran the Marine Corps Marathon in October to raise funds for breast cancer research in honor of his late wife Collette (Boston College) who passed away a year ago. Charlie is serving as the chief of staff at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport RI and is attending the MIT Sloan EMBA program. Charlie’s son, Felippe, graduated from high school and will be attending Penn State in fall. Maeve, his daughter, is heading into third grade and loves Irish step dancing. Upon graduation, Charlie plans to transition from the Navy to the business world, possibly a start-up in clean energy technology. Check out our Class page on Facebook. Craig Thompson was appointed chief operating officer of Tetraphase Pharmaceuticals Inc. In his new role, Craig, who most recently served as chief commercial officer for Trius Therapeutics, will be responsible for leading Tetraphase’s commercial operations, including business development and licensing, commercial planning and early marketing initiatives for the antibiotic Eravacycline. Congratulations to Sandra (Yonkoski) Quick who was recently named senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of Meritor, Inc. based in Troy MI. Meritor is a leading global supplier of drivetrain, mobility, braking and aftermarket solutions for commercial vehicle and industrial markets. Sandra will be responsible for the legal affairs of the entire corporation and will manage the corporate legal department. She will direct legal activities related to corporate governance, acquisitions and divestitures, litigation, business standards compliance, regulatory compliance, and intellectual property. I saw Mark Wattley at the spring Notre Dame Law Association meeting in April in South Bend. Mark looked refreshed and relaxed from his recent trip to Africa where he visited South Africa, Zambia and Botswana. Mark still works at Walgreen’s, where he handles domestic and international mergers and acquisitions. Mark said he saw Mike O’Neill at the grand opening of Mike’s new office space for his firm, O’Neill McFadden & Willett, in northwest Indiana. Also, next time you are in South Bend, stop in and say hello to a familiar face. Tammye Radke Raster has been appointed the alumni program manager for the Law School. Tammye will work with the Notre Dame Law Alumni Board, help coordinate annual fundraising and reunion giving with Patti (Kelly) McLaughlin ’90JD, and work on keeping alumni informed about the Law School. 92 Reunions, Bucket Lists And More
Congrats to Trey Hester. In March he was named Wisconsin’s 2014 Restaurateur of the Year. Trey is president and COO of Rocky Rococo Restaurants. Dust does not settle near our classmate Rev. Christopher Cox, CSC. He sends word that from June 23 to July 23, he will walk the Camino de Santiago de Compostela again with his father, honoring his 70th birthday, and brother, who will accompany for half of the walk. They will start in France and walk 500 miles to get to the cathedral where St. James the Great is buried, an ancient pilgrimage route. If any Domers will be pilgrims on the Way of St. James during that time, please let Christopher know, otherwise please look him up in Santiago, Chile, if you pass through the area. Some classmates have minireunions at football games or other ND sporting events. Some are held at the beach or in the wine country, but I do not recall hearing about a minireunion where the classmates met to participate in an athletic event such as this: Lori (Brossard) Warda sent word that she and her PE roommates Laura (Brown) Nicol and Aimee (Grabowski) Frey, along with husbands Brad Nicol and Brant Frey, met up to participate on Laura’s team in the Ragnar Trail Zion (an eight-person, 120-mile trail running relay race) held in Zion UT in April. Brad served as team manager and chauffeur. While the event ended early due to rain and snow, the roomies had a great time catching up. When they are not participating in extreme sports, Laura and Brad live in Flagstaff AZ with their three kids: Adam, 13, Ana, 12, and Aaron, 7. Aimee and Brant live in Pocahontas IL with their boys: Jordan, 16, and Drew, 13. Lori and her husband Bob live in Chicago with their boys: Luke, 12, Dylan, 10, and Logan, 6. Timothy Deenihan announced that he crossed off something from his bucket list when he gave a TED Talk at the first ever TEDx at Quinnipiac U in Connecticut. The talk was titled, “An Actor’s Guide to Real Life,” and should be available on the TED website sometime this summer. Jenny and Vinnie Whibbs moved to Encinitas CA from Pensacola FL about eight years ago. They have three future Domers: Maggie, 12, Vinnie, 11, and Caroline, 8. Vinnie started feeding his son the ND juice by taking him to the Temple game for a minireunion with Jim Mahoney, who brought his son Jimmy, also 11, Chris Thoman and Mike Sonntag. In the spring, Vinnie took his son to a men’s lacrosse game in Costa Mesa CA where he ran into Molly (Lennon) Anderson and Jen (Slosar) Smith. After meeting Coach Corrigan and several of the players, little Vinnie was on cloud nine and ready to apply. Margaret (Nowlin) McCaffery’s son Patrick was diagnosed with thyroid cancer right before March Madness. Now they are raising funds for Coaches vs. Cancer benefiting the American Cancer Society by selling t-shirts and wristbands that say “TeamPat22.” If you are interested in supporting the cause, let me know and I will help connect you. Pamela Smith has a new job as the deputy director of government relations at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Michael “Mike” D. Rechtin Jr. is a partner at Quarles & Brady LLP in the Chicago area and an adjunct professor at Northwestern U. Patrick Keating has a new job as a litigation partner and transportation department chair at Roberts McGivney Zagotta LLC, in Chicago. James Giszczak is a member on the board of directors at McDonald Hopkins LLC and is working in the Detroit area. I heard from Christopher Zampogna recently. He and his wife Karin are in the Washington DC area. Chris will be sworn in by the chief judge of DC courts as president of the DC Bar Association on June 13 for a one-year term. Chris mentioned he has an exciting year planned for the bar, which among other things provides recommendations to the President for Judicial appointments. He also plans to take a delegation to the World Court in Hague. Michael N. Chesney has been selected as a 2014 Client Choice Award winner and the exclusive winner of the employment and labor category for Ohio. Mike practices in Cleveland where he is a partner with Frantz Ward LLP. Congratulations to all of you. 94MBA Looking Ahead
As we approach summer, I hope everybody is doing well. I have been in touch with a number of people regarding our 20-year reunion, May 29 to June 1. I am not aware of anybody from our class going, but I am obviously only in touch with a handful of people. That said, by the time this issue comes out, the reunion will have happened already. In my last column (which was the winter issue) I mentioned that we were going to plan a reunion for fall of 2014 at the Purdue game, Sept. 12. However, they moved the Purdue game to Indianapolis and it became too difficult to find an alternative weekend for a variety of reasons, so we are going to push it out to 2015 and celebrate our 21st reunion at either the Georgia Tech game on Sept. 19 or the UMass game on Sept. 26. Please mark your calendars and pass this along to anyone in our class that you are in contact with. The general plan would be a group dinner Friday night followed by a tailgate on Saturday and of course the game. Charles Oliva has again promised to help plan the reunion with me. Thanks, Mr. President. For this fall, several of us will be at a variety of games, including Rice, Stanford, North Carolina, Northwestern and Louisville. Elizabeth (Ix) and Tom Buccellato, Scott Steiger, and Jenner Davis will be at the Syracuse game in New Jersey, where Angela and I hope to meet up with them. First, a quick note for anyone who has not seen the last few columns or who has not been in the loop because of change of email, Facebook boycott, etc. Our class is meeting for a reunion at the North Carolina game, Oct. 11. Jim Carrig has taken over most of the workload on this, so feel free to email him or myself regarding pre-game and post-game meet-up. As of late April, we have 30-plus classmates planning to attend, so book it now if you can. Ashok Tripathi checked in and reported that Mark Kirby and family were able to meet with him in Los Angeles recently. The Tripathis also made a last-second pilgrimage to Indianapolis to see Kentucky in the Final Four. Also of note, Eric Ruona spent a couple of weeks in Brazil in April teaching Brazilian police some techniques to combat money laundering and other white collar crime. Noticeably absent at the conference were Pablo Escobar, Meyer Lansky, and Silvio Berlusconi despite the availability of CLE credits. Cheryl and Eric Armbrecht’s third child, Philip Stephen, was born in February. He joins his sisters Melanie and Liesl. Eric is an associate professor of medicine and health policy at Saint Louis U, where his research focuses on improving care for chronic conditions like diabetes, heart failure and asthma. Eric also reports that in March, Mark Muscato and his wife, Jamie, welcomed their first child, Miller Dean. Mark is a managing partner of his radiology group at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur IL. Martha and Ed Jamieson welcomed their daughter, Mackenzie Marie, into the world in April. Mackenzie joins brother Jake and sister Brooke. The Jamiesons are happy living in the “Last Best Place,” Missoula MT. Maria (Capua) Teague and her husband, Brandon, are proud to announce the arrival of their second child, Siena Sophia, in May. She joins big sister, Annabella. After 15 years at Brown & Connery, Pat Holston moved his commercial litigation and banking practice to Duane Morris. Pat works out of Duane Morris’ Philadelphia office. Michael Sofield recently married his partner of 14 years, Jamie Barnes, in Annapolis MD. They live in Mount Laurel NJ, and Michael works for Lockheed Martin as a contracts negotiator. By the time you receive this we’ll be planning our 20-year reunion. It is amazing how time flies. No, your 40-year-old eyes didn’t deceive you. That was our erstwhile class president Kevin Kuwik on numerous television screens during this year’s March Madness. Kevin, an assistant basketball coach at Dayton, helped guide the Flyers to their first Elite Eight appearance in 40 years. He joined the Dayton coaching staff in 2011 after stints at Butler and Ohio State. Rejane Cytacki made her final vows with the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth on July 7, 2013. She resides in Lansing KS, where she is the environmental education coordinator at the U of Saint Mary. Cheryl O’Brien recently accepted a position as assistant professor at San Diego State U in the Department of Political Science and the International Security and Conflict Resolution. In January, Anna and Michael Chiaravalloti and big sisters Gianna and Alessandra welcomed Sophia Ariadne to their home in Chatham NJ. Michael works for J.P. Morgan Private Bank in NYC, introducing private-equity and hedge funds to its clients. Keith Koeferl recently started with the principal strategies group of Nomura Securities as a portfolio manager focused on global investments in the technology sector. Keith, his wife Gina, and their children, Grace, 5, and Miles, 3, are in the process of moving to Rye NY. Brian DiLaura lives in San Francisco with his wife Jackie and son Nicholas, 2. Brian is a managing partner of private equity fund Atlas Peak Capital. Amy (Pikal) and Jay Roberts and big sister Elle, 2, welcomed Cade Alexander in August. The Roberts family resides in Palm Beach Gardens FL. After staying home for eight years with sons Brandon and Noah, Holly (Campbell) Forseth has taken a position as director of children’s faith formation at the Parish of St. Benedict in Phoenix. Kaylee Durow released her first album, Feel My Love, in May. The album, which can be purchased on her website kayleedurow.com, features love songs from the Big Band era, Norah Jones, and the Beatles. Kaylee and her husband Tim ’95 live in Glenview IL with their five children. Melissa (Pirelli) Earls, Renee (Flickinger) Howard, Chrissy O’Reilly, Bridget (Nilles) McCabe, Kathy (Bergen) Erickson, and Laura (Kroggel) Luchi met up this past April in Sonoma to celebrate turning 40. “The Women” have reunited in some combination every year or two since graduation. Melissa is an elementary principal in Massachusetts, married to Joseph, and the mother of Emma. Renee is an attorney in Seattle, married to Jim Howard ’99JD and the mother of Abby, Alex and Kate. Chrissy is an attorney, married to Joe Martin, and the mother of Mary Kate. Bridget is re-entering the workforce in Chicago. She is married to Mike, and the mother of Brie and Kaley. Kathy is a teacher in Michigan, married to Paul and the mother of twin boys Kevin and Liam. Laura is a project manager with Clorox in Arkansas, married to Nick, and stepmom to Nathan and Megan. In the spirit of embracing a year of milestone birthdays, a crew from Lyons and Pasquerilla East celebrated with a girls’ trip to Las Vegas. Sue (Sullivan) Rauenbuehler, Jeannine (Solanto) Parise, Kiki (Mitchell) Boyd, Kathryn Cavanaugh, Keira (Jojo) Kamm, Margaret (Vida) O’Donnell, Ellen (Smith) Denise and Anna (Dematatis) Topham had a fabulous weekend soaking up rays and poolside service at the Four Seasons, enjoying table service and dancing at XS until 3:30 a.m., and dominating the blackjack and craps tables. Of course, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Kathryn (who recently joined Healthbox as managing director of their new Innovation Fund), Sue and Ellen are living in San Francisco, Margaret and Keira are in LA, Kiki is in Indy, Jeannine is in NYC and Anna (and Ryan Topham) are living in Grand Rapids MI. Everyone is doing well and enjoying healthy, busy lives with families and careers. After selling her staffing firm in 2009, Jeannine continues to run her second company called VMS Accelerators and produces semi-annual executive workshops for human capital leaders, details of which can be found on her LinkedIn profile. The California desert provided a beautiful setting for the March 29 wedding of Tiffany Greco and fellow Domer Matt Carson ’93. The Notre Dame alumni contingent was out in force on both sides of the aisle, and the reading of the Irish Blessing was a fitting conclusion to the sunset ceremony. The wedding weekend also proved to be a special minireunion for our classmates and their spouses in attendance: Katie Anthony, Jimmy Casto, Robert McLaughlin, Mark Moretti, Mike Ward and me. One of the many highlights of the weekend was getting to hear Jimmy sing and perform his music live. His impressive keyboard talents were used during the wedding ceremony for music he wrote specifically for the bride and groom. He then sang and played for Mr. and Mrs. Carson’s first dance, and no, it was not the Victory March. Jimmy and his keyboard were also center stage for the welcome party the night before, providing a lively mix of popular cover tunes and many of his own terrific original songs. Despite the tempting lure of palm trees and California sunshine, Jimmy and his wife Karen continue to make their home in Atlanta. Look them up if you find yourself traveling to Georgia because you won’t be disappointed if you catch Jimmy in concert. 96JD Brainwashed, Old and Miserable
Hello everyone, welcome to summer. Here are some updates: In January, Scott Stengel took over as general counsel of UMB Financial Corporation in Kansas City. He reports that, after living in Kansas for only a few months, his son Benjamin, 6, has become brainwashed and one night said, “Daddy, I hate to inform you that I don’t like the Irish anymore, just the KU Jayhawks.” A re-education program has since commenced. In May, Dan Tychonievich celebrated his 15-year anniversary in the South Bend office of Faegre Baker Daniels LLP. Dan and family are also celebrating the birth of a second granddaughter, Kendall Grace Rushing, who was born Oct. 3 to his daughter Cera Rushing. Cera resides in Bloomington IN and is an art teacher in the Brown County School District. All are doing well and are thrilled to welcome baby Kendall. After receiving a second (desperate) plea for class news from yours truly, Meighan (Templin) Harmon responded, “Given our age group, I guess no news is good news.” I told her that for this quarter, that might be newsworthy. I recently appeared in a local theatre production of Les Miserables. I played a pimp, a beggar and a thief. The producer assured me that I was not being typecast. Please send me your updates. This was a very slow spring and summer. I have only one update to pass along. Shari Nemeth married Javier Ochoa at the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix AZ on Nov. 25, 2011. In attendance were Catherine (Basque) and Adam Weiler, Allyson (Luck) Coyne, Alexandra (Matthews) and James Boyle, and Ken Laberteaux ’96MS, ’01PhD. Shari is section head of dermatology and Mohs surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona. She and her husband have enjoyed an extended honeymoon with trips to Peru, Turkey, Argentina, Uruguay, Ireland, Switzerland, Poland, Austria, Czech Republic, Croatia and France. They hope to welcome many of their ND family to Arizona when the Irish play ASU in Tempe this fall. I hope everyone is happy and healthy. Please send me updates. Kathy Noble was promoted to associate director of digital strategy, responsible for Kellogg North America social media practice and digital strategies on the Kellogg and Special K brands. Hockey season’s over for both kids, and Bill Asch is thawed out for summer. Bill continues to help the IT transformation effort at BeTheMatch.com, the world’s largest marrow registry. Here’s something cool: Ryan Baker’s wife Julia, who edits her own alumni column for Stanford’s magazine, updated us on Ryan. Ryan’s been with Intel Corp’s marketing department at headquarters in Santa Clara CA for 14 years and is currently the director of OEM partnerships. He travels mostly to Asia and Europe, and in the past year he and his team received an Emmy and three Cannes Lions for a short film they collaborated on. Ryan and Julia have four children: Layton, 14, Liam, 6, Mary Elizabeth, 3, and Helena, 1. Because mild chaos wasn’t enough, they added a rescued golden retriever, Marcy, to the family. In his spare time Ryan coaches his son’s T-ball team, participates in his girls’ sing-alongs to the Frozen soundtrack, and forces his California kids to check weather in South Bend so they appreciate how good they have it. “You think 61 is cold? Look at the weather in South Bend. It’s 31 and snowing. In March!” Speaking of South Bend, Ryan and Julia enjoyed having Jen and Stu Fortener and their two boys, Luke and Kyle come out from Notre Dame to visit last Thanksgiving. Matt Vorst, his wife, and two children also joined Thanksgiving dinner at the Bakers’ home in Menlo Park. Thank you Julia for the update. Ryan will enjoy reading it. Katie Wolsfeld visited Katie and Tim Coff at their new digs in Charlotte NC. Katie and Tim moved down to North Carolina last year with their children Mary Elizabeth and little Charlie. Peter Pocsik and wife Mary moved from Hoboken to Weehawken NJ on the Hudson River with a great view of NYC. Pete’s going on year five at the Federal Housing Finance Agency as a senior bank examiner. Pete confirmed Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are still in conservatorship. Pete and Dan Schleckser will be at the Meadowlands for the Syracuse game. Stelios Vouzoukas is CFO Greece at P&G. Rishi Sadarangani is VP research investment management at Brown Brothers Harriman in NYC. John Dombrosky is head of marketing North America for Professional Pest Management at Sygenta in Greensboro NC. Kevin Carden is SVP corporate finance at Ziegler Investment Banking in Chicago. Shawn Beals is a VP at SiemensHealthcare in Denver. Andy Zurcher is SVP product development at HomeAdvisor (formerly known as ServiceMagic), also in Denver. Diego Moppett is senior structuring analyst at HSH Nordbank in Hamburg, Germany. Oscar Villalobos is CFO Latin America at Koch industries in Brazil. Anthony Jowid got married to Abby Vela in the Dominican Republic on Valentine’s Day. Congrats Antman and Abby. Maria (Masha) Kicheeva is an author, screenwriter, producer, interviewer and illustrator at The Kitchen Theater in Russia. Ram Lakshmanan is managing partner at Lending Advisory Solutions in St. Louis. Jim Kerr is at TEKsystems in Philly. John Evans is chief strategy officer at Closed Loop in Sacramento CA. Kristen (Langan) and Bob Rilling would like to raise awareness about an extremely rare condition called Alveolar Capillary Dysplasia (ACD). Kristen and Bob’s daughter Fallon was 11 days old when she succumbed to this rarest of diseases. In Fallon’s memory, they have started a website where people can find out more information and even make a donation to fund research on ACD. That website is gofundme.com/Fallon-Jade-Rilling. Kristen also wanted to make special mention of Fallon’s Notre Dame “aunts” who have always been there for the family. They are Christine Kelly, Kathleen (Sullivan) Weinberg, Maryclare (Kenney) McAfee, Mary (Balsley) Buscemi, Julie (Klusas) Gasper, Veronica (Chavez) Cadungog and Siobhan O’Brien. Margie (Vegh) Swaim and her husband Lance welcomed their second daughter, Katherine Ella, in February. She joins her big sister, Megan, 3. The Zack 5K, in honor of our late classmate, Zack Warfield, took place on June 28 in locations all across the country. Sarah Collins has moved back to her native state of Rhode Island after 15 years in the greater Boston area. She recently joined a small lab company with a fantastic culture and she is enjoying every minute of it. Sarah encourages anyone traveling in or near Rhode Island to reach out. Ernesto Marcos joined Cameron as country manager for Mexico after 10 years running the Mexico office for Oceaneering. Cameron has a much wider product and service portfolio and better understanding of the complex Mexican oil and gas market. Last year Ernesto and his wife Patricia celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary. They have three beautiful children: Adrian, Nicolas, and Ana Lucia. Laura Puente has recently been promoted to director of strategic marketing and multicultural marketing at ConAgra Foods after three years with the company. Laura is also training for the Chicago Marathon this year. It will be her first. She is also planning a trip to Scotland and Ireland in the fall. Jeff Heck has joined Bamberger, Foreman, Oswald & Hahn LLP’s Indianapolis office. Jeff, a logistics, employment and litigation attorney, has joined the firm’s manufacturing and distribution team and will help round it out with his safety and regulatory knowledge, coupled with his experience in the courtroom. Kristen Polovoy received the “Outstanding Woman of the Year” award in the category of law from The Burlington County (New Jersey) Board of Chosen Freeholders’ Advisory Council on Women. The award honors women who have made significant contributions in their professional field and within the community and who have demonstrated their support for women’s issues. 99MBA 15 Years and Counting
It’s hard to believe it has been 15 years since we graduated and left Notre Dame for new adventures. Looking back at all of our class note submissions, a lot has changed during those 15 years. Cathy Farmer Early wrote to say she has been selected as the event chair for the 2014 Festival of Trees, a flagship fundraising event for Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital and Health Center in Tacoma. Last year, the event raised over $1.6 million. Cathy is truly honored to be selected to lead this event and is working hard to make it a great success. Kathleen G. Cabello, president and co-founder of Cabello Associates Inc., will serve on the Indiana State U Board of Trustees effective April 1, 2015. Gov. Mike Pence announced the appointment in March. Congratulations to Kim (Duncan) and Joe Castorena who welcomed a baby girl on Dec. 16. She is named Alexa Frances Castorena. Big brother, Dylan, is very excited and adjusting really well to the new addition. We also met up with Roxy and Jason Young, as well as Kelly and Chuck Alberton and their two kids in Truckee during April.
