The Festival

Eight current and former film students from the University of Notre Dame were invited to participate in the American Pavilion's student programs at the 2012 Cannes International Film Festival —and make a short documentary film about the internship experience. With the guidance of former ND assistant professor Aaron Magnan-Park, who served as the film's executive producer, "The Festival" captures the red-carpet glamor and behind-the-scenes toil that makes Cannes a peak experience for film buffs and aspiring filmmakers alike. In addition to the Department of Film, Television and Theatre and the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center, campus sponsors included Campus Ministry, the Center for Creative Computing, the Center for Undergraduate Scholarly Engagement, the College of Arts and Letters, the First Year of Studies, the Institute for Scholarship in the Liberal Arts, Multicultural Student Programs and Services and the Nanovic Institute for European Studies.
