Let us count some ways.
For two glorious days I had been following my windshield into autumn. I was traveling whatever roads looked like they would take me to a beautiful day beside beautiful lakes in south and central Wisconsin.
Through all the latter days
of her dementia
the only words she knew
by heart were “Thank you”
and “I love you.”
The boundaries we encounter as we journey through life may divide use from some, but they can also bring us closer to others.
Sometimes I lie awake at night and wonder where His love is.
We have only so long to ask the questions we need to ask, have the conversations we need to have, spend the time we need to spend and heal whatever hurt our hearts are holding.
