Notre Dame students: Whether they’re at home or abroad, you can always count on them to be mesmerized by organ music.

Our photo this week comes from the London Global Gateway, where students each semester take a tour of the city’s East End as part of their cultural immersion. On the latest tour, students were treated to a few tunes from visiting organists at Christ Church, Spitalfields, in between snapping photos of the neighborhood's street art and — if the tour is anything like it was when I was in the London program — hearing enough stories about notorious East Ender Jack the Ripper to make their skin crawl.

The Institute for International Education announced this week that Notre Dame is now ranked second in the country for study abroad participation, and London is one of the longest-running contributors to that trend: the University’s London Law Program marked its 50th anniversary last month.

Photo of the Week highlights images of notable happenings on campus and in the Notre Dame family around the world. Have a snapshot you think we should see? Email scahalan@nd.edu to be considered for publication.
