Father Pete McCormick, CSC, Notre Dame’s director of Campus Ministry, asked students to fill out a form expressing the emotions they have felt during this semester defined by social distance and disease. Words like anxiety, stress and fatigue were common, but also perseverance, gratitude and love.
The Fighting Irish Project, a partnership between McCormick and the Senior Class Council, produced a board depicting the prevalence of those emotions to illustrate that nobody was alone in their feelings. Students were then invited to write accompanying messages of hope on the board, rays of light in the word cloud.
