Legendary Notre Dame women’s basketball coach Muffet McGraw, whose iconic heels were a staple of her sideline presence, was honored for her Hall of Fame career on December 17 with a statue outside Purcell Pavilion. A two-time national champion, McGraw led the Fighting Irish to nine Final Four appearances in 33 seasons at the helm. McGraw’s husband, Matt, draped another signature item, a green scarf, around the statue as fans cheered the coach at the unveiling.
