That white streak in the upper left is Comet NEOWISE, visible in the night sky just after sunset for a few fleeing evenings — NASA offers tips on how to catch a glimpse — before it hurtles off into deep space. See it while you can. Once it passes through the inner solar system, the comet will not return for 6,800 years.
