Almost two years ago, Notre Dame ceased burning coal. Back in 2019, there was still a pile to be burned on the north side of campus (bottom photo). Now, it’s long gone (top photo), just one step in a multifaceted approach that fuels the University’s commitment to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
