John Moreland ’58, ’61J.D., kneeling, and Rev. David Porterfield, CSC, ’65, ’78M.Div., tend the memorial to the former Holy Cross Hall. Porterfield lived in Holy Cross and whenever Moreland visits from Iowa, the friends spruce up the monument to the building that stood from 1888 to 1990 on the slope above Saint Mary’s Lake.
