In the aftermath of the March 15 mosque attacks in Christchurch, New Zealand, the Notre Dame community came together for an interfaith prayer service in the rotunda of Main Building. Four religious leaders — including Ebrahim Moosa, the professor of Islamic studies in the Keough School of Global Affairs who is pictured here — offered remarks during the March 21 event.

University president Rev. John I. Jenkins, CSC, ’76, ’78M.A. also led prayers, echoing sentiments put forth in his official statement that called for “an end to the brutal religious bias and hatred that results in the shedding of innocent blood across the world.”
