Driving home to Madison, Wisconsin, from Boston this week, I stopped at Notre Dame to light a Grotto candle for my grandmother, who recently died. On a walk around campus with my rector from O’Neill Family Hall, Father Chris Rehagen ’09, I saw deer in front of Bond Hall and snapped this picture with my phone. Father Chris told me that he’s seen deer on campus often during the long, quiet winter break.
