Last week, we showed you a snapshot from the Glee Club’s tour of Europe. But the “Singing Irish” aren’t the only Notre Dame music group seeing the world during this summer break.

This week’s photo comes to us from East Africa, where the Folk Choir is in the midst of its own tour and pilgrimage.

Here, a group of choir members play games with students from St. Jude Primary School in Jinja, Uganda. This voyage is the Folk Choir’s first in Africa, and their itinerary includes a number of communities in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania that, like Jinja, are served by the Congregation of Holy Cross.

Photo of the Week highlights images of notable happenings on campus and in the Notre Dame family around the world. Have a snapshot you think we should see? Email scahalan@nd.edu to be considered for publication.
