Khalid Kareem had good reason to be beaming last Saturday during the Notre Dame football team’s 52-20 win over Navy. The senior captain admits he might tear up a little this week when he and his classmates commemorate their final home game, but it’s safe to assume he’ll be all business against Boston College. Leading the Fighting Irish in sacks and tackles for loss, he’s been a physical force on the defensive line, but as South Bend’s ABC57 has chronicled, creativity and compassion define Kareem off the field.
