Domers make their mark in the world and on the study carrels in Hesburgh Library. Self-expression is encouraged on campus, as are coping mechanisms to relieve stress and academic anxiety. Considered a healthy avenue toward alleviating isolation, the graffiti also reinforce solidarity within a cohort and are deemed by many — but not all — to be more entertainment than vandalism. These manifestations of ‘Kilroy Was Here’ scribbling, highlighted in our new winter issue, were captured by senior University photographer Matt Cashore ’94.

Photo of the Week highlights images from campus and from the Notre Dame family around the world. Have a snapshot you think we should see? Email jkelly30@nd.edu to be considered for publication.
