Notre Dame will sow seeds to reap more environmental benefits with an additional geothermal installation currently under construction north of the Joyce Center — the next phase of an initiative that started in 2017. Geothermal plants save energy in heating and cooling by taking advantage of constant 50-degree temperatures underground.
