20MBA Wedding Bells

Lots of wedding bells ringing for our class! Emily Clark started the year off with a promotion to senior manager at PwC, and then in June she married Charlie Otterbeck ’12. Halfway across the country, Jacob Marks got engaged to Jaime Urkowitz this past April at the Fillmore in Philadelphia. Their wedding will be next October. Between now and then, they’re asking for classmates to send all wedding planning tips! Please send any updates you’d like to share my way.

20JD Barristers’ Ball 3.0

Congratulations to our classmates Katie (Peachman) and Alex Kurrie, who tied the knot May 24 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Oyster Bay NY, followed by a beautiful reception at the Woodside Club in Muttontown. The dance floor did not disappoint! I had the pleasure of breaking out my Barristers’ Ball dance moves alongside fellow classmates Dominique (Fry) Casey, Polly Tran, Elias Ayoub, Liam Doolin, Ned Rooney, Jennie (Christensen) Patricoski, Margaret Manning, Victoria (Pereira) Duarte and Courtney Seitz. In other joyful news, Sarah (DeAgostino) and Peter Fricano welcomed their adorable daughter, Lucia Madeline, this July. I have been assured that the Notre Dame football brainwashing and indoctrination has already begun — she will be game-ready before kickoff this season. If you’re planning a trip back to campus for football season this fall, please reach out. I’d love to reconnect. Praying for and thinking of you all, always. In Notre Dame, Go Irish! — Elizabeth (Lombard) Eckert ’15, ’19MBA, ’20JD; 708-334-0213; elombard@nd.edu

21 Reunion, June 4-7, 2026

Greetings, Irish Nation! A quick reminder to visit reunion.nd.edu for the latest information on our unforgettable 5-year reunion. The registration site will open in January. By the time this bad boy comes rolling off the press, we will be in the thick of the greatest time of the entire calendar year — Notre Dame football season. Can I get a Go Irish. Beat <Insert name of team we play the week this magazine is published. It’s really hard to plan so far in advance.>? That’s the spirit. Anyhoo, now onto the much anticipated and highly sought-after life updates! As per usual, we are going to start aboard the love train. Choo choo! Going back a bit, Riley Recker ’20SMC and Xavier Lezynski were married in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on April 27, 2024. But hot off the press, they also welcomed their firstborn, a boy named Bronx Francis Lezynski, on March 10. Fun fact, that’s the birthday of the very author of these quarterly updates, and yes I am still accepting belated birthday wishes, thanks for asking. Moving on … Natalia (Adriance) and Ben Huls were wed May 31. We had a pair of twin weddings recently as well! Carolyn Nilsen and Patrick O’Connor got married at Notre Dame on June 7, while on that same date Anna (Luong) and Joey Tanaka were also married. Similarly sharing a nuptial date were Mark Adamo and (the new) Kate Kleiser Adamo on June 27 at the U of Our Lady, while a few thousand miles away, on the very same date, Maria Luisa Paul and Jon Reuvers ’20 also tied the knot but in beautiful Oaxaca, Mexico. Jon also wants it reported that his lifelong dream of having a donkey lead the calenda in his wedding finally came true, and Maria let it be known that no donkeys were injured in the process. Sophie Rodriguez and Nick Deely also recently celebrated a Basilica wedding this past summer. Rounding out the love train updates, Emma Ascolese and Nic Saladino were engaged on a beautiful NY afternoon and took some lovely engagement photos across New York City. Also in NY, Ari Gomez just graduated as a physician assistant and will be starting her new job this fall in thoracic surgery in NYC. Ellis Riojas would like it known that he recently bought a house in the greatest city in the world — South Bend IN. Lastly, Elaine Mary Griffin had her debut novel, Shadows in the Pleasure Gardens, published and released this past summer. Congrats, all, on some amazing life accomplishments and milestones! As always, for those of you reading along, don’t be shy! When we send out our quarterly emails asking for updates, let us know what you’ve been up to. Or, if you’re too eager to wait for that, you can DM us 24/7 on Instagram @class21nd. We look forward to hearing from you and Go Irish! — Ryan Mullin; rmullin77@gmail.com
