20MBA Summer Spent Staying Busy

Members of the MBA Class of 2020 may be spread far and wide, but they are keeping themselves busy. As you remember, Jacob Mazurek is our class’s resident artist. Since his Basilica painting was printed in the Observer in late 2019, he has continued painting photorealistic Notre Dame-themed works of art. Working from photos taken by himself or by classmates, he dedicates hundreds of hours trying to paint the finest details. Since the start of the pandemic, he has painted the football stadium, the administration building, the Hesburgh Library with flags in front, and a sunrise view across Saint Mary’s Lake. His current project is a nighttime image of the Grotto based on a photo provided by his friend Steve Sturtz ’77MBA. The paintings are on display in his home gallery in Watertown NY. Shraddha Goyal recently became a homeowner, having acquired a house in Gurgaon, India. And that wasn’t the only significant milestone she marked. An avid gamer, she also purchased her long-awaited gaming rig. This high-quality gaming computer has been a dream of hers for 12 years. After graduation, Adria Griffin and husband Matt Fink relocated to Richmond VA, where she began working on Capital One’s Inbound Payments team as a senior associate in product management. Hardly a year later, she was promoted to manager. As the company transitions to a hybrid in-office/remote structure in September, Adria looks forward to meeting more coworkers in person. When not at work, she and Matt have been building large Lego sets together (including the 6,000-piece Hogwarts castle) and visiting friends and relatives. Do you have any updates to share? Let me know. — Audrey Walker; awalke10@alumni.nd.edu
